PS Plus August 2026: Essential, Extra, Premium – New & Leaving Games

PlayStation Plus has kicked off one of its biggest months in 2026, with fresh titles arriving across Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers—and a handful of fan favorites exiting mid-month.August 2026 is shaping up as one of the stronger months for PlayStation Plus in a while.

Between the Essential monthly games, a stacked Extra and Premium Game Catalog drop, and a few classics for the top tier, there’s a solid mix of big co-op shooters, deep RPGs, indie hits, and retro titles.

PS Plus Essential members can claim three new Monthly Games, while PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers get a much bigger Game Catalog update featuring Helldivers 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Vampire Survivors, Hell is Us, Metro Exodus, Dying Light 2 and more.Sony has also added two classic games for Premium members.

At the same time, August is an important month for Extra and Premium subscribers because nine games are scheduled to leave the PS Plus Game Catalog on August 18, 2026. That list includes popular titles such as Dead Island 2, Unicorn Overlord and Earth Defense Force 6.

Overview	Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams brings samurai action together with demons, supernatural powers and a darker version of feudal Japan. It is also a nice chance for newer PlayStation players to experience a PS2-era Capcom action game that has been away for a long time. You switch between characters, use Oni powers, and cut through Genma forces in a story set after Nobunaga’s fall. The combat still feels satisfying, and the co-op AI partners add a nice touch.
